Alumni Ventures (AV), one of the world’s most active venture capital firms, is proud to support Bundle, an innovative startup revolutionizing the construction industry’s procurement process. AV invested alongside Urban Innovation Fund and Slauson & Co. in Bundle’s $4 million seed round in 2023, which will help the company streamline purchasing for small to medium-sized builders by integrating technology into traditional construction processes.

Bundle CEO Janna Colucci recently appeared on AV’s Tech Optimist podcast to discuss the company and her entrepreneurial journey.

“Our platform addresses the critical issues of projects going over time and budget, which amounts to almost $400 billion in annual spend in the U.S. due to procurement inefficiencies,” said Colucci. “Our goal is to transform these antiquated processes, making them more efficient and affordable.”

Colucci co-founded Bundle in 2021 with Stanford Business School classmate Edison Ding. The company has quickly positioned itself as a leader in digital procurement solutions. Their platform, designed specifically for the SMB residential space, enhances efficiency by running purchasing processes at 10x speed and reducing product costs by 10–20%.

“Alumni Ventures’ investment in Bundle underscores our commitment to supporting innovative, women-led startups driving substantial change in established industries,” said Mike Collins, Founder and CEO of Alumni Ventures. “We believe Bundle’s powerful managed marketplace and project management tools will have a profound impact on the construction sector.”

With the funding from their Seed Round, Bundle plans to expand its technological capabilities, grow its team, and enhance market penetration through strategic go-to-market initiatives set for 2024. This round of funding marks a significant milestone as Bundle continues to advance its service offerings and solidify its place as a leader in construction tech.

Alumni Ventures offers accredited individuals access to professional-grade venture capital, a key asset class missing from the portfolios of many sophisticated investors. Since 2014, AV has raised $1.3+ billion from 10,000+ investors and backed 1,300+ unique portfolio companies. AV is a top 20 venture firm in North America according to CB Insights, as well as the #1 most active venture firm in the U.S., and #3 most active in the world, according to PitchBook’s 2022 and 2023 rankings. AV has won awards from Inc. Magazine, Fast Company, Benzinga, and the US FinTech Awards.
