There are few technologies with as much potential to fundamentally change the modern human experience as blockchain. Granted, it’s hard to understand and often over-hyped, but there are some great speakers out there with the ability to break it down into concepts that are far easier to digest. I’ve pulled together a handful of particularly good ones here. Each video runs around a half hour, but they’re well worth your time. Blockchain is a VERY big deal.

In this TEDx Talk, Richie Etwaru does a phenomenal job unpacking blockchain into an easily consumed presentation about its fundamentals. He also discusses how blockchain is positioned to bridge the “trust gap” that is core to both business and society in general.
Decentralizing Everything with Ethereum’s Vitalik Buterin

Both Naval Ravikant and Vitalik Buterin are heavyweights in the world of deep tech. Ravikant is co-founder, chairman, and former CEO of AngelList, while Buterin invented Ethereum. Buterin in particular is a quirky dude, but his summary of the origins of blockchain and how the tech has grown beyond digital currency is brilliant and concise.

This award-winning, bite-size documentary gives a great human perspective on the potential of blockchain. It has been screened at multiple international film festivals and events, including Davos at the World Economic Forum, and features interviews with industry leaders around the globe. Truly gives you an idea of how far-reaching the impact of this technology could be!
